It was so great going up north seeing family and celebrating Jessee and Piper's wedding. They put together the perfect wedding. Jake officiated the wedding and he was able to catch up with so many old friends. Pretty sure I haven't seen Jessee and Piper any more happy then I did that day/the whole weekend. Surrounded by so many friends and family who love them was something really special to be apart of.
The girls and I did a one night stay in Palm Springs to celebrate Dianne's birthday.
Well this Halloween was an end of an era for the Ernest Family. After a 11 year stretch of family Halloween costumes the kids decide they wanted to do their own thing. I couldn't be mad at them since they have dressed up with us for so many years and never once refused to participate in it. Skylar went with what all middle school girls were doing which was construction worker and with the massive success of Top Gun this year, Madden and his buddies dressed as Top Gun cadets. Jake and I rocked the Mad Scientist costumes.
For the month of October Madden received the Citizenship Award and we couldn't of been more proud of him. He is rocking 5th grade. Getting great grade and his teacher and nothing but the sweetest things to say about him. Everyday I drop him off at school I'm in awe that he is going to be in Middle School next year. I'm just trying to cherish this last year of elementary school for him.
Hosted a poker night for Madden and his buddies at the house.
Pretty much at a lost for words on this one. No clue how we have a 7th grader and 5th grader. Can't believe we are on our last year of elementary school. Kids seemed really happy with their classes and teachers. Madden got Mr. Castro, which is the teacher he really wanted and he has his best buddies, Ian and Cooper in class with him. Skylar wasn't thrilled with her english teacher but was happy with the rest. She is doing ASB as her elective again this year which we were happy about. Here's to another year of school for our two lovies.
We had our first trip back to Cabo since November 2020 and boy did we miss it. Didn't take too many photos because we were in the water the whole time. This trip was pretty much eat, swim, sleep on repeat for 4 days. It was great for the four of us to get away and spend some quality time together. Couldn't of asked for a better way to close our summer.
