2023 Holiday Card

 Recreating the iconic Vibe Magazine/Death Row magazine cover was an idea I had been thinking about doing for the last couple years.  We were so happy with how it turned out and it was actually a lot harder to recreate than it looks.  We got a lot of messages from all our 90s hip hop loving friends who thought it was a hit!

Jake's 42nd Birthday

 Glad had a pretty mellow 42nd Birthday.  His mom came down to celebrate and we also had Morrison and Lennon make a special guest appereance.  Madden started his day off with a Madden Special aka an omelette.  If you haven't had one you are missing out since he cooks the eyes in bacon grease.

Friday Night Lights 🏈 North Carolina Tar Heels (Fall 2023)

🎵WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIENDS🎵.  
We had an awesome season playing in the 5th/6th highest level conference.  We ended the regular season 8-1 and a little bitter that we weren't crowned conference champions.  We took that and used it as motivation in the playoffs.  We made it to the championship game playing against a tough team.  Our boys stepped it up playing in probably the most intense FNL game I have ever been apart of.  We were down 2 touchdowns with under 4 minutes to plays.  Our boys were incredible those 4 mins and ended up winning the game with 2 seconds left with Madden catching the tieing touchdown and catching the game winning extra point.  

November 2023

 Trivia night with the ladies.

Madden had been seizure free for a year and had his yearly EEG which came back clear.  Praying that we are done with this epilepsy journey.

Jake, Madden and I did our first 5K Turkey Trot together in Palm Springs.  Jake and Madden rocked it.  I came in 3 minutes behind them.

We had such a fun afternoon watching SDSU Basketball play inside a high school gym.  It was a fun with with all our families together.

October 2023

 Carlsbad High School Pink Football Game.  I mean, how cute are these girls, can't believe they will be high schoolers next year.

I attended my first High School football since I was in High School. It was a blast!

Maddens soccer team had a team party after one of their games.  He had a blast.

This was classic!! It was Halloween Dress Up at soccer practice.  Madden dressed up as "white trash."  Coach told Jake that he wanted to tell Madden to take the cigarette out of his mount while practicing but he appreciated how Madden was staying in character the whole practice.

Halloween 2023

Halloween was different for us this year.  We decided to change up our front yard display from witches to a more religious theme of dead monks.  Jake and I spent all of September DIY a much of new items and we couldn't of been happier with how it turned out.  

Since we had a bunch of crossed in the yard Jake and I decided to dress the theme this year. 

Madden was a last minute costume idea but we absolutely loved him going as Tupac.  Plus I think he loved running the streets with no shirt and just tats.

No More Braces

 YES!!! The day has finally arrived!! Both kids are officially done with braces which we couldn't be more excited about.  Madden finished up his second round this month.  Love seeing that smile!
