Masquerade Fun

Halloween is by far my favorite time of the year.  I love dressing up and there is nothing better than dressing up for an adult Halloween Party.  Last weekend the Lund's hosted a Masquerade party that was a complete blast, plus it gave me a reason to finally wear my new jumpsuit.

The cat girls of the party.

I even ran into Torey who was in Theta with me.  Had a great time partying with her again and catching up.

Alvin and Jake using the beer bong to its fullest.

It was a great night.  We all danced for hours and had the best time with friends.  I believe the Fire Department came once because of the fog machine and the police department because of the music. Think those are all good signs to a good party.  Jake the next morning said the difference between partying as an adult is that when the cops are called your party doesn't get shut down.

Presidents Club Trip

I couldn't been more proud of Jake and everything he accomplished last year for work.  He hit so many sales goals that lucky for us his company paid for 3 trips for us this year alone.  Presidents Club, of course being the most important was a goal that Jake hit really early in the year.  When it was announced that the trip would be taking place in San Francisco/Napa, I must admit I was a little bummed seeing that we live in California, and we had just been up to Napa in February, but I just had to remind myself it's a free/kid free trip.

The company put us up at the Fairmont in Union Square, which was beautiful.  On the first night they set up a really nice happy hour in the world famous Tonga Room located in the hotel, and then we took a party bus to a restaurant where we had a private room and ate a fabulous meal.

(Suzie: the picture with the Tony Bennett statue is for you)

The next day was the all day wine tour of Napa.  For those who know me, you know that I don't drink, so the tour wasn't quite my cup of tea, but I must admit I really enjoyed the beautiful scenery of each winery.

I loved that each winery was decorated for Fall.  Pumpkins were everywhere.  We went to 3 different wineries.  The last one we went too was definitely my favorite as we were able to walk through the wine cave and the view was everything you think Napa should be.

I'm practically an expert on wine now and think I'm pretty good on Napa for a couple years.

After the longest bus ride back into the city, we met up with Clint and Dallas for dinner and drinks.  I headed back home the next morning and Jake stayed one more extra night to zip line with his co-workers.

I feel so lucky that Jake is working for such a great company, who really take care of their employees.

Had a awesome girls night out celebrating Huiwen's birthday in Del Mar.

Rochelle took Madden to the botanical gardens.

Kids got to go back to their favorite place Boomers, and this time their favorite person got to join...Sophie.

August 2016

The kids and I headed down to Mission Beach to hang out with Dianne, Jake, Charley, and baby Wyatt.

Skylar subbed in at one of Madden's T-Ball practices.  She rocked in, in dress and all.

Jess was sweet enough to take the kids to the Legoland water park for the afternoon.

Being goofy with our new nanny Rochelle.

Going down the waterslides at Bressipalozza.

We were so lucky to be able to go to Legoland with the Stevens to celebrate Linc turning 6 years old.  The kids had a great time together.

Rochelle took the kids miniature golfing which is their new favorite thing.

Skylar is loving her tap/jazz dance class.

Baking a sweet treat to celebrate the school year starting.

Madden's 1st Day of 4 Year Old Preschool

Preschool is where Madden really is the happiest.  He loves going to school, he loves his teachers, and he especially loves all his classmates.  So no one was more excited about school starting then Madden was.  He was at Redeemer all summer for camp, but wasn't with his everyday Room 2 classmates, so he was so pumped to get back to school and see them all.  He even told me "Mama, Hudson and Sophia are going to be so excited to see me because they love playing family with me."

Being such a little trickster.

So proud of our little guy.

Giving Ms. Marian the biggest welcome hug.

Admiring sweet Hudson.

Chilling with the boys!

We know he is going to excel so much this year.

Skylar's 1st Day of 1st Grade

Just like that, our sweet little girl is in 1st grade.  It was such a bittersweet moment seeing her on the  playground with the whole school running around before the bell rang.  She is definitely a big girl now. I was so excited for her, but also so nervous.  I know for a fact I was more nervous than she was. Skylar has Mrs. Aubertin and is in the 1st/2nd grade combo class.  I must admit I wasn't thrilled when I first saw that, but I'm trying to take it as a huge compliment that the school believes she is advanced enough to handle it.

Skylar with preschool buddy, Madeline.

Lucky for Skylar, Lucy, is also in her 1st grade class.  I know that definitely helped settle some nerves knowing she was going to be with her bestie again.

Skylar also is in the same class as her buddy Parker.

All smiles while lining up after the bell rang.

Big girl at her own desk.

I can't wait to see what kind of strides she makes this year!

I think the video sums up how she felt about her first day of 1st grade.

Cabo 2016

Cabo is definitely becoming our families happy place!  There was a countdown going on in our house before we left on vacation, as the kids would ask daily "how many more days until Cabo?"  We had such a great experience at the resort we stayed at last year that we decided to go back.  This trip was even better then last years because the sea water was extremely calm and the kids were able to swim in it with no problem.  We spend so much time in the ocean, it was definitely the highlight for me.

Skylar got her first henna tattoo.

The kids loved having their mango and strawberry slushies everyday.

Couldn't of been more proud of Madden for going on out the kayak tour with Jake.  Jake said Madden was loving it until they turned around and Madden realized how far away they were from land and that is when the tears started.  Once they hit the sand Madden violently trying to rip off his life vest because he was so over it.

Before dinner the kids loved playing chess.  Madden and I were the champions of the trip.

We went to the buffet for Mexican Theme Night!

They had a pinata for all the kids to hit and put on a awesome Mexican theme show.

Each morning we would hit the pool and beach by 9:00 AM and be out there until 3:00 PM.

The kids loved floating in their tubes in waves.  One day we believe Madden was really close to falling asleep in his tube in the ocean.

A sweet moment after the kids woke up from nap.

We had a beach front dinner at the Italian restaurant one night.  A bird ate Jake's fish, but the kids and I loved our meals.

Night swimming at its best!

The kids and I played several games of keep away in the pool.  Madden would go full force every time we played.

This trip was definitely our best trip to date.  The weather, pool, ocean, food, were all completely perfect.  Jake and I say the best part of the trip was the ocean water and if you ask the kids their favorite part they will tell you the Fruit Loops at breakfast.

Adios Cabo....until next Summer!
