Skylar's Lost Canyon Summer Camp

Skylar headed out to her first ever sleep away camp this summer and she couldn't of been more excited.  She and her closest friends traveled 8+ hours to Williams, AZ to Lost Canyon Resort.  This place was a dream for any kids.  They had a pool, a lake, massive water slides, jacuzzi, ziplines, ropes course, mountain biking, coffee shop, ice cream shop, merch store, game room, I mean they had it all.  From the details I got from Skylar she said each day they would do a large group activity and then they would have the rest of the day to do whatever they wanted.  She had the best time ever, and when I asked her what she rated her week away, she gave it a 10 out of 10.  Love seeing her be more independent and do things like this.

Last Day of 6th and 4th Grade

Well we survived our first year at middle school for Skylar.  She actually did better than survive, she thrived and had a great year.  She meant a ton of new friends.  Was a part of ASB, she even ran for secretary for next year, but sadly didn't win.  Performed in her dance PE spring show.  She even started wearing a little it bit of make up, which wasn't my first choice, but what can you do.  And on top of it all, got straight A's throughout the whole year.  Can't wait to see what 7th grade brings her.

Madden once again had a stellar elementary year.  He had an amazing teacher in Mrs. Hines.  Was in a class with a ton of his buddies.  Don't think we could of asked for a better year for him.  Looking forward to seeing him ruling the school next year as a 5th grader.

Madden met up with his buddies to walk to school together on the last day.

Dance Recital 2022

Well after two covid years of dance, nothing was better than being back in the beautiful auditorium and on the real stage for our dancers.  They have struggled with zoom classes in our garage, classes outside on the concrete, having to wear masks while in class and they have got through it all with a smile on their faces.  We couldn't be more proud of them and we're so excited to see them shine this year.

I love nothing more that for the past four years they have been in hip-hop together.  It's so much fun seeing them do something like this together and to support each other.

This years Father/Daughter dance may have been the best one yet.  Skylar and Jake had a blast! We were lucky enough to see them dance it several times over the week as they were in both shows on both days.  They even got to close out the whole show which was awesome.

Mabel and Skylar in their Jazz number.

Our little ballerina.

The kids had a great cheering squad this year as with Grandma, Nana and even Aunt Sherry was able to be apart of the weekend.

Madden also received his 5 year award.  Its still hard to believe he has been doing hip-hop for 5 years now.  He is iffy on if he is going to do it again, but I know I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that he will give it at least one more go.

Our little tapper!

These two have been in the same classes together for almost 8/9 years.  They have such a good time together and we couldn't as for a better dance bestie than Mabel.

Our dance life has gotten a bit more interesting as this year Skylar decided to try out for her studio's competition team.  We were so excited for her to challenge herself in a different way when it comes to dance and we can't wait to see what next year brings her when it come to her dancing.
