My sweet boy is having a bit of a rough summer.  On the first day of summer Madden as diagnosed with at mild seizure disorder.  This is a picture of him having his EEG sleep test.  He has been such a trooper through all of this.  He is only a daily anti-seizure med that hurts his stomach but he is doing the best he can and hanging in there.

Lennon and Morrison came down and spent the weekend with us.  We did the botanical gardens, dinner, and a movie night.

Lake Tahoe 2022

We are so blessed that for the past few summer we have been able to do an Ernest/Funk family vacation.  Last year we did Maui which was a blast!  This year we decided to keep it a bit more local and meet up in Lake Tahoe.  We organized getting a great place that could house all 12 of us and something that was walkable to the lake.  We spent 3 wonderful days at and on the lake and one fun day at the rope/zip lining course.

Sweet Geddis spent his own money and purchases this massive 19 foot blow up.  It was the hit of the lake.and the kids spend hours on it when we launched it in the water.  I wish I would have spent more time on it when we had it out there.  It was very relaxing.

Super proud of Madden for riding his first sea do with Jake.  He loved it our there on it and ended up riding it for a couple rounds.

We were walking distance from the disc golf course.  Jessee and Jake spent a couple evening walking and playing the course.

Boat day was a great day.   The family hung on the lake for hours tubing, wakeboarding and taking cool dips into the lake.

The best dip of the trip was Suzie getting into the water after almost four years.  It only last a few minutes, but it was worth it.

I loved spending time in the lake with the kids.  It was definitely chilling but once you got used to it, it was the most refreshing thing.

A few years back when we visited Tahoe we did the ropes course and my kids loved it, so we knew going back it had to be something we revisited.

Our dear friends, the Mirkin's were in town as well so we spent the afternoon on the rope course with them and at their families Tahoe home.

As we are all getting older, and the cousins are getting older, these vacations together are so meaningful and I'm glad my kids are old enough to remember these special family times.
