June 2020

Picking up in Covid hobbies.  We were so proud of Skylar for wanting to learn to ride a skateboard and buying the board all on her own.

Madden and all his buddies hit up K1 Speed.

Madden came in 2nd.

For Fathers Day weekend we flew up to Chico and got to spend time with the NorCal Ernest.  The kids swam in Grandma's pool and played a lot of card games.  It was a great being together with everyone.

Grandma came back down to Carlsbad.  We had a lot of yummy at home dinners, walked the Oceanside pier, tons of rounds of Rummy 500, one kind of not so great, but not so bad french bread, Grandma's first time back to the beach, super thin chocolate chip cookies and just a lot of laughs.

I couldn't of been happier when the pool opened back up for Masters swim.  I missed my swim buddies more than anything.

Last Day of School 2019/2020

So after thirteen weeks of what they like to call "distance learning," the kids finally had their last day of school.  It sadly wasn't their typical last day of school of saying good-bye to classmates and teachers, but we made the best of it.

We rented a dunk tank at our house and invited some of Maddens good buddies over for a couple hours to play and dunk each other over and over again.

Since Covid these girls have gotten pretty independent.  So the moms decide to have the girls bike from house to house and do different water activities.

The girls call themselves the Eggo Waffles (I know, such a silly name).  They started off by eating eggo waffles covered in a enormous about of sugar, made homemade ice cream and had a water ballon fight.

Here the map the girls had to following.

Biker Gang!

After the water balloons they rode over to our house and did the dunk tank.  Sadly I sucked and got zero pictures or video.

The last stop for them (and Madden, he was included as well) was to Ava & Matthew's house to swim in the pool and eat chick fil-a and pizza.

These girls are ready to jump into 5th grade!

Even though it was the most random school year ever and not being able to be with everyone the kids still had a great time and are looking forward to hopefully returning to school in the Fall.

May 2020

Celebrating Ivy's birthday in a social distance way.

Hitting up the beach for the first time during Covid.  It wasn't like a traditional beach day.  We couldn't sit on the beach, could only walk, so the kids playing in the ocean as they walked.

Rented a duffy boat on Lake San Marcos for the evening.

Took Dad down to the beach with us one morning.

Celebrating her Besties birthday Covid Style.

Got the football team together to say good-bye to Mac who is moving back to Minnesota.

Being rebels and breaking quarantine for some much need pool time with friends.

Got Skylar and her friends together to ride bikes in an empty parking lot.  One of the few things we were able to do during Covid.

Swimming at Nana and Papa.

Got to celebrate Lennon's 6th Birthday with him.

Memorial Weekend was a hard one for us.  We are usually all together with family at the kids dance recital which sadly didn't happen.  Lucky for us we decide to head out to the desert with the Rossitto's for some much needed R&R.  We had a great time with lots of fun in the sun.

Pool day at Ava's for these girls!

Back to Nana and Papa's pool with Lennon and Morrison.
