April 2017

Easter 2017 with her bestie.

The Rossitto's hosted a fun early Easter celebration.

Dying eggs and egg hunting.

JB, Bobby and Ollie recently moved back to Phoenix so we had a little good-bye dinner for them.  So sad to see them go.

Stella's 7th Birthday Party at corvette diner.

Skylar celebrated her friend Emma's 7th birthday with a Tea Party.

Madden's 5th Birthday

Last weekend we celebrated a milestone birthday for Madden.  Our sweet little guy turned the big 5!  I kept telling Madden what a big birthday this was and turning 5 was a special occasion.  He on the other hand didn't agree and said big birthdays are when you have two numbers in your age, like 10....11....12...haha!

This year for Madden's birthday we invite just his preschool class to his party.  He loves his classmates so much and wanted to spend his special day with just them.

Madden and his buddies, Carter, Zach and Cruz.

Magic Madden is what you can call him lately.  Ever since my dad got him a small magic kit he has been all about magic tricks so I decide to hire a magician to perform for the kids.  They all absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough of the magician and his tricks.

We even had a face painter for the kids to enjoy.  Madden and his buddies of course went with the same theme.  I think every boy got a scorpion on their faces.

Hudson and Carol.

By the end of the day Madden said it was the best day ever and that he wanted to wake up and doing his party all over again.

As Madden's birthday week continued he celebrated his birthday at his school.

He received his traditional birthday donut on the morning of his actual birthday.  That day my parents came down and we made Madden his birthday dinner....tacos with an ice cream cake!

Turning 5 definitely looks good on that face.

Luke & Chloe Wedding Reception/Easter Weekend

Weekends like these are sadly to rare and far between for us.  It had been close to two years since the family was all together so we were all looking forward to this trip.  We headed up to Fairfax to celebrate Luke and Chloe who had eloped and were hosting their wedding reception during Easter weekend.  The family stayed at the same hotel so we got a lot of quality time together.  We had a lovely group dinner on Friday night and than headed to Aunt Sherry's on Saturday morning for a early Easter brunch and egg hunt.

Of course the two girls did the egg decorating while the boys just played basketball.

Suzie and Aunt Sherry put together a great hunt for the kids.

Only a couple weeks before the event we received an email from the happy couple telling us their wedding reception was a 90s theme party so we tried our best to dress the part.

Mika was giving her best gangsta face.

Her gangster and rock star face is about the same...haha!

We all had a fantastic time at the reception.  The kids ran around like crazy, Jake did a short musical performance for the happy couple and we partied as long as the kids could last.  We woke up to rain the next morning and everyone decided it was time to head back home/the airport for us so our quick family weekend had to come to an end.  Skylar and Madden had a great time time with all their cousins and we look forward to the next time we can all be together again.

Final Four Weekend 🏀

Check one off the bucket list for Jake.  Jake hit another sales goal at work and won the trip to the Final Four and Championship game for this years NCAA Tournament.  Being a lifelong college basketball fan this one was pretty special for him.  The games took place in Phoenix and during the Spring Break kids so we tagged along.

We just swam all day long and just enjoyed the change of scenery for a couple days.

We hit up downtown Scottsdale.

Found a fun ice cream sundae restaurant.

While Jake was at the game I took the kids to a cool glow in the dark miniature golf course.

There is a really awesome aquarium in Phoenix that we check out before our flight out.

The quick trip was a great way to break up our Spring Break week.
