August 2020

Daddy Daughter Camp out in the Rossitto's back yard.

Madden got what he wanted all summer...A weekend away at Lennon and Morrison's house.  They swam, ate treats, played video games, went to the drive in and stayed up way to late.  He loved every minute of it!

5+ years later we finally meet again.  On our way to Tahoe we stopped in Fresno to visit our college friend Brandon and his wife Tiffany and their two daughters.

Just another beach day for this crew.

Sunset beach visit with Sophie.

Ocean temp was near 80 degrees so we went back to the beach on the weekend.

Yep, right back to the beach the next day for a "Last Day of Summer"/ Ava's birthday celebration.

Could not have and still can not be surviving this covid nightmare with out these ladies.  Having them has been such an outlet during this really dark time has saved me.

First Day of School 2020-2021

When school got shut down out back in March we never would of thought we would be starting the new school year still at home, but we are.  I must say this is one of the most heartbreaking things for me as a parent, not being able to see my kids go back to in person learning at their school.  It's Skylar's last year at Poinsettia and I really want to see her be able to go back to school at some point.  Madden got the best teacher at the school and Skylar is in class with all of her six best friends. I'm trying to keep all positive thoughts and hope that it won't be like this very long.

Until then we are going to have to settle for the online learning.

CDC Virtual Dance Recital 2020

Of course one of the biggest highlights of the year for us is the kids dance recital.  The whole family comes down for it and it just really brings our whole family so much joy.  It was a really hard pill to shallow when we realized it wasn't going to happen this year.  The dance studio has been doing their best with continuing the classes on zoom and we even got one month of in studio instruction before it got shut down again.  A couple weeks ago the studio announced it would be doing a virtual dance recital where we would record the kids doing their routines and submit them back to the studio for them to compile into a video.  We did our best to make it feel as much as recital day as possible with all full costumes, makeup and a backdrop.
