July 2019

This is how we cruise the streets.  Skylar on her bike, Madden on his scooter, Jake on the skateboard and me on my blades.

We were really proud of Madden when he said that we wanted to spend a couple days in Riverside this summer with Lennon, Morrison and my parents.  They took him bowling, went swimming and played video games, and had smores all in one day.  He slept at Lennons for the first night and night two he stayed at my parents house.

Needing to get the kids out, I took them to K1 Speed, which they LOVED.

Madden, Skylar and Lucy

Dianne and Jake were in town and invited us over for a BBQ and night swimming.
Madden, Charley, and Skylar.

Skylar and Sophie being little entrepreneurs.

RIP Murr.
April 2019 - July 2019

Aunt Elsa had her 70th Birthday Party.  It happened to be a toasty 100+ degrees so we spend the entire party in the pool.

Cabo 2019

Crazy to think that two summers have gone by since the last time the four of us made it to Cabo.  It's always my favorite vacation that we take because its the most relaxing of them all.  This year we booked the first flight out so we can have as much time at the pool on our first day.  We made it to the hotel a little before noon and immediately hit the pool and got into full relaxation mood.

Can't remember what the thumbs down was about, but he was a happy boy for sure.

That evening we heading to the hotel buffet for dinner.

We had a nice walk home along the beach that evening.

The next day was our only full day at the beach and pool so we made sure to make the most of it.  We were out there by 9:00 AM.  We floated in the ocean and swam in the pool until we were wrinkled in the toes and fingers.  Lucky for us the temp was in high 80s/low 90s, we couldn't of asked for better weather.

We had a lot of laughs with the under water camera.

That evening we hit up the Italian restaurant that sits on the coast.

Then right back to the ocean for some night swimming.

On Day three we thought we had a reservation to swim with the dolphins.  We went all the way down to the marina for them to tell us we needed to be at the San Juan marina, which is like 45 minutes away.  Thankfully they were able move the kids dolphin experience to the next day.  When leaving the marina a man approached us about getting taking a boat out to lovers beach.  Jake had be talking about doing it so it was perfect timing for us.  I'm not going to lie I was pretty nervous just because I'm always freaked out in boats, but I was so happy we did it.  Lovers beach was so beautiful.

We took a picture of two pelicans for Grandma, of course.

Madden was just as nervous as I was.  Poor guy got a little freaked out and couldn't enjoy it.

The famous arch.

We got off the little boat and walked around the beach.  The rock formations were gorgeous.

We got a little smile out of him before we headed back to the hotel.

The boat dropped us back at our hotel and we swam in the pool for the rest of the afternoon.

That evening we had dinner at the fancy restaurant at our hotel.  We got to see dolphins swimming in the ocean from the view.

Round two at the marina for the swimming with the dolphins.  I was so proud of the kids.  They weren't scared at all and really enjoyed touching, playing and swimming with the dolphin.  It was so much fun watching them get so close to such an amazing animal.

After the dolphins we head back to the pool for more R&R.  We swam in the ocean in much as we could since it was our last full day in paradise.

For our last evening we had a really fun dinner.  The kids loved listening to Jake and I tell them stories about when they were babies.  We laughed and talked about our rose and thorn of the trip.  Our family has really fallen in love with Cabo and we can't wait to go back.  I was trying to convince Jake for us to go back during Thanksgiving, he told me to slow down...haha!

Video highlights from the trip.

4th of July 2019

The 4th of July in Bressi never gets old for us.  It's always super mellow which is what I like.  I have had enough wild 4ths in my life that I welcome these slow paced holidays.  We always start the morning off by participating in the neighborhood parade.  This year we all rode something different with Jake on his skateboard, me on my roller blades (since I'm obsessed with blading again), Skylar riding her bike and Madden bought himself a new two wheeled scooter for the event.  He is still refusing to ride a bike so I told him I wouldn't buy him anything but a new bike and he refused that and purchased himself a scooter since he had grown out of his baby one.  I must admit I was pretty proud of him for learning to ride it in two days.  I think he really loved being on some sort of wheels since its been over 2 years that he has gotten on anything.

We meant up with Lucy at the parade.  The kids got popsicles before heading off on the parade route.

After building up a sweat we headed over to the pool for a couple hours.  A bunch of friends showed up as well so the kids had a blast.

After the pool and some relaxing we had the Kurisu's over a BBQ before the sun went down for the fireworks.

Kids ran around with sparklers and glow sticks before we called it around 9:30PM.  Wouldn't of asked for a better way to spend the first holiday of summer!
