New Years Eve 2018

New Years Eve at the Sheraton never disappoints and that is why we keep going back.  This was our third year in a row breaking in the New Years there and probably our best.  More friends are catching on to how much fun we have there that we had a massive group.  The theme was Great Gatsby.

12 Adults and 11 Kids.  The kids are at the perfect age where they can kind of roam freely around the whole event.  The boys spent more of they time playing the endless video games while the girls did some arts and craft and hit the dance floor.

Best part of the night was the Adults Only Speakeasy hidden bar they had.

The highlight of the night was the family dance/costume contest where half of our group got up on stage and killed it.  We walked away with first place!

Christmas 2018

Nothing says Christmas like coming down with the flu 24 hours before the holiday starts.  Yes, sadly on the day before Christmas Eve I woke up with a fever and was down and out.  Luckily I was able to somewhat function on Christmas Eve and Christmas but it meant staying away from all and in full mask and gloves.  I'm glad it was me who got sick and not one of the kids, but did it really put a damper on my holiday.  I made the best of it and was glad I wasn't too sick to be able to see the kids enjoy the holiday.

I doubled masked as I passed out presents on Christmas Eve.

Leaving cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.

Santa brought the Skylar the biggest bean bag in the world and Madden a faulty fingerprint safe that anyones print would open.  #santafail.  Luckily we were able to send it back to Santa's workshop and get one that actually worked for him.

Kids were happy with all they got.  Pogo sticks, Electric Tooth Brushes, clothes, games, and more!

This year the kids actually used their own money and purchased a gift for each other.  Skylar got Madden a minecraft sword, while Madden got Skylar some squishies.

Money guns for the WIN!

Nana and Papa showed up and gave them the gift of the year....Nintendo Switches.  Here is to 2019 being the year of video games.

Holiday Cards 2018

I got the idea for Gangsta Wrappers Holiday Card last Christmas and held onto until it was time to start planning our card for this year.  I tried my best to explain to the kids about the Crips and Bloods in a very PG way.  I ordered diamond chains and held on to all the boxes coming to the house to use as props.  My favorite part of the card is the tear drop that Madden insisted on having for the picture.
