March 2022

 Well we did it...we purchased a home in Palm Springs!!  This was the day we closed on the house and Jake and Skylar hitting up our new hot tub.

Grandma is back!! This time she had a very special reason to visit as Jake got her and him tickets to the March Madness games.  They had a blast watching two games at SDSU.

Yay!! Field trips are back.  Madden and his class got to go on their first field trip in 2 years.  We went to the San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside.

Speaking of field trips...ASB got to go to Disneyland California for the day.

Grandma and Madden had a dinner date at Tommy Vs.

Jake and I had the best time celebrating Nicole at her Dive Bar theme birthday party.

Nicole's 41st Birthday

 My amazing friend were so sweet and for my birthday took me to the roller skating rink.  I had the best time and didn't leave the rink for the whole 2 hours we were skating.  I think I want to do this every year for my birthday.

That night we kept it mellow with the family and had bacon pizza and a confetti bundt cake.  Just how I wanted to celebrate.

Grandma came down for visit and we did our traditional beach walk. 

Madden was once again the big winner of square on Super Bowl Sunday.

Madden has really be into busting up things so Jake and I took him to a rage room.

For Travis and Kason's birthday the boys went on a overnight camping trip.  They hiked, fished, threw axes, knifes, rode bikes, and told ghost stories.  Madden and Jake had a blast.

We surprised Skylar and her friend Chloe by taking them indoor skydiving while the boys were camping. I was nervous she wouldn't want to do it, but she loved it.

 Movie Night to celebrate Evan's Birthday.

Jake ran the Carlsbad 1/2 Marathon again this year after it not being held for a couple years due to Covid.

Punta de Mita (Brittany & Jake's Wedding)

 Jake and I felt very blessed when we found out that Jake and Brittany wanted to invite us to be apart of their wedding weekend.  Due to covid they had to switch their wedding location from Cabo to Punta de Mita, which was a spot in Mexico I have always wanted to go.  

Everything about the trip was perfect!  The hotel was practical empty which meant the kids had two pools and the water slides to themselves. I'm definitely not a foodie, but man, I have never had such wonderful food like we did during the whole trip.  The actually wedding was by far the prettiest wedding I have ever attended.  They treated their guest so graciously and really rolled out the red carpet for everyone who made the trip down for their special day.

The best part for the kids was being with Lennon and Morrison for 4 straight days.  They must of went up and down the slide 100s of times during the trip.

FCGS Soccer Banquet

We couldn't of been prouder of Madden for completing his first year of competitive soccer.   The club put on a lovely banquet to celebrate each player and each teams accomplishments during the year.  Madden had a great time running around the whole night with his teammates.  It even got Madden in pants and a collared shirt.
