February 2019

I think we need to take Madden to Vegas. After winning the squares for the AFC Champions game, he took the big win for the Super Bowl as well. He walked away with $110.00.

Madden had to have one of his baby molars pulled. His 6 year old molar was coming in and causing his baby molar to get infected so it had to go. He was such a rockstar during the extraction. You never would have known he was getting a tooth pulled. Tooth Fairy was so proud of him, she left him $20.00.

Celebrating Sophie's 9th Birthday at Legoland Hotel. Skylar even got to spend the night at the hotel with her.

100 Days of School. Mrs. Burns, Madden's teachers used an app to take aged pictures of the kids. Here is Madden at 100...haha!

Skylar had Madeline and Lucy over for a slumber party. Girls made their own pizza, played Just Dance Contest, went to bed around 10:30 and were up bring and early at 5:30.

Valentines Day 2019

I did a bad job on pictures this year for Valentines Day. I feel like it popped up on us so quickly. This was the first year I let the kids bring candy to school as their Valentines. I don't know why I held off for so long, everyone does it. Madden of course went with a Minecraft theme valentine and Skylar had a gummy bear theme. Jake made them both heart pancakes for breakfast (of course, I missed taking a picture of them). I volunteered in Skylar's class for her Valentines Day party and saw the kids pass out their valentines. That evening the kids actually had a friends birthday party so right after the party I had them run up and take showers so Jake and I got to enjoy a quick 20 minutes dinner alone, and that pretty much summed of V Day for our family.

January 2019

Rochelle let Skylar tag along one day with her the and girls. Ended up being Skylar best day of winter break.

Jake ran the Carlsbad Half Marathon again this year. The kids got early and went down to the race to watch him. He did amazing and ran a 1:43 I believe.

Madden was the big winner for squares during the AFC Champion Game. He racked in about $90.00.

For Christmas Jake got me tickets for Lady Gaga's residency in Las Vegas. It was an incredible show and definitely his best gift ever.

Father/Daughter Glow Dance 2019

Light Up the Night was the theme of the second annual Poinsettia Father/Daughter Glow Dance. Lisa and I once again co-chaired the event and did our best to bring a lot of fun to all the Dads and Daughters. The glow theme was such a success last year we did it again this year with a few added surprises. The girls and their dads pre-partied at Emma's house and got face painted for the added flare, the dad even got in on the face painting this year as well.

We girls got to snack on donuts and glow cotton candy.

This year was really cute because Skylar and Jake the whole time. She didn't want to leave the dance floor.

The event was a great success with these two have a blast all night.

NUVO Dance Convention

I was extremely proud of Skylar for wanted to experience her first Dance Convention Workshop. Her studio was invited to attend NUVO and even though she isn't on the dance competition team she still wanted go and see what it was all about. It was two days of learning and dancing to all different genres of dance. The girls had several instructors who always provided them words of encouragement which was so wonderful to hear. Even though Skylar wasn't the best dancer in the room she was always out there doing her best by listening and learning every step. Even when the routines were a bit hard, she never gave up and continue with a smile on her face.
