We were kind of bummed out because Jake's quarterly sales meeting landed right on the week of Spring Break this year and he was going to be in Chicago Monday through Thursday. The kids and I made the best of our week without Dad and had some fun at the beach with friends, movies and visited with Lennon and Morrison. Luckily when Jake came home we got out of town and headed to Palm Springs for the weekend. We have been dealing with so much cold and rainy weather, it was so nice to finally be where it was warm and sunny.
Once we arrived we went to lunch at Lulu's where the kids got a major sugar high!

So the kids are in love with shows on Tru TV and one of their favorites is The Carbonaro Effect, which is a hidden camera magic show. When we saw that the star of the show was putting on a live show in the desert we jumped on getting tickets to see him. We had a blast at the show together and the kids couldn't stop laughing and being in awe of all the magic.
So a couple weeks before spring break we were hanging with the Rossitto's and Kurius' and randomly all found out that we had booked a trip out to the desert for exact same weekend. The Rossitto's and Kurius' were at the same hotel so on the second day we headed to their pool and hung out all day.
The kids had a blast and swam for hours, went up and down the water slide a hundred times and ate ice cream. It was a really fun day for all.
Finally we all sat down for a nice dinner and then we had to head back to our hotel to call it a day. The little hint of summer was really wanted we all needed.
