April 2020

We are now at the end of April which puts us at 7 weeks of Covid-19 quarantine.  Kids are definitely not going back to school and pretty much anyone and everyone you talk to say how much they are over all of this.  We are all hoping that May is the month we start seeing some light at the end of this horrible tunnel.  They did recently just open our beaches and trails, but only for walking on, no stopping and relaxing, you have to keep moving, at least its a start.

April started off with the worst spring break in history.  On top of dealing with Covid, it poured rain the entire week of spring break, and when I mean poured, it dumped for 5-6 straight days.  Lots of video games and TV time.

The families got on zoom and sang Happy Birthday to Matthew.

Easter was nothing to brag about either.  I probably could of done a better job and made it more exciting but I guess I just didn't have the energy and the gloomy weather didn't help.  The easter bunny left a map for the kids to search for their baskets.  Jake and I put on a egg hunt for the kids which took them over 30 minutes to find all the eggs, that had fun with it.

We finished our first 1000 piece puzzle.

Art class.

We took a bike ride on the La Costa Golf Course which was fun, but they ended up closing the course down a few days later.  We were late to the golf course game.  They did recently open up golf courses again for single players (another good sign).

Taught the kids beer aka water pong.

#quarantielife

Early on in this quarantine we broke the rules with the Rossitto family.  Everyday at 1:30 Jess and I take the kids to empty parking lots and let them ride and play.  Its pretty much the highlight of the kids day...playing in an empty parking lot #covidfun.

Emma's Birthday Parade and Party

The girls trying their best to social distance.

Parking lot bikes and beers.

Doing our best to keep cool when there is no beach or pools to go too.

Saturday night movies on the lawn.  Mike and Eric have been setting up the projector for us all to watch movies once the sun goes down.

Mask up!!  We are now all required to wear mask whenever you can't at least be 6 feet apart from people (grocery stores, etc.).

  1. All of the great activities you set up to keep Skylar and Madden busy took lots of creativity. Good job! The water play in the alley looked like fun. I like the "water" pong. Good idea! So many good pictures in this group. It made it look like this period of all our lives wasn't too bad. But in reality it has been horrible. Jake and Nicole, you have shown that with creativity you can give your children good memories even in the most difficult of times. I also liked the 1000 piece puzzle! Wow!
