Last week was Poinsettia's annual Jog-a-Thon for the school. This year we were blessed to have temps in the mid to high 70s, which was a dream compared to last years 90s. I was excited to see how Skylar did seeing that last year she was the top girl runner of her class. Being the smallest in her class I wasn't sure if she could repeat her title, but Madden and I were anxious to see how she did.

Skylar did amazing! She and Lucy pretty much ran side by side the whole 45 minutes only stopping for a couple quick water breaks. I was really amazed on the kids running for that long. 45 minutes really felt like forever.
In the end Skylar ran a total of 28 laps. She didn't run the most in her class, but she was definitely one of the top finishers for the 1st grade girls in her class.
Great job, Skylar! Wow! 28 laps in 45 minutes.
